We made vegetable soup and bread on Fun Friday. All but two of our Room 12 whanau did not like the soup...... although, all of our whanau LOVED the home made bread. I think maybe we should of made 4 loaves of bread instead of 2. The children cut up the vegetables and did a fantastic job - no cuts to fingers and the size of the vegetables was perfect. Well done tamariki. We could not have done it without the help of Aleshia (Kaden's mum), Mrs Kim and Mrs Peard. Check out the videos links below to see what your tamariki had to say about vegetable soup. Mrs Hema thought our soup was "da bomb"!

MAKING MATHS SENTENCES OUT OF OUR SHOP DAYS USING MONEY
Sophie and Kaysha used the product they had bought at our pretend shop to make number sentences. They wrote the number sentences in their maths book and are using advanced number strategies to join their sets. They are looking for patterns within their number sentences to help reach the correct answer. We have been working very had at learning to articulate (retell) how we have solved a problem. This will be ongoing learning for Room 12 children - to be able to retell how they reached the answer.
Well done girls - you are working hard at learning new number strategies!
