EATING PIZZA

In keeping with the topic this term of kai we made pizza today.  We had enough pizza to invite Room 4 over to make one as well.  Check out the video link below to check out how much we loved eating pizza!

We have also completed our procedural writing and the recipe will be in our sharing books so that our tamariki can make it at home.

EOTC TO PERNEL ORCHARD

The Awesome Acorn Syndicate went on an EOTC experience to Pernel Orchard to learn about where some of our food comes from.  We learnt so much from Doug who narrarated us around orchard.  Doug was super with sharing all his knowledge and was such a lovely person - thanks Doug from all of us Awesome Acorn's for sharing all that interesting information.  It was a foggy day but we were well looked after on a covered trailer with soft seats behind an old Ferguson tractor.  Our AA's were great learners displaying the Mayfair Way of showing respect through listening and participating whilst learning.  You truly are Awesome Acorns!

KAI TIME

We are learning about Kai this term. Questions such as: What's healthy, what's not?, where does our food come from?

We will also be planting seedlings and seeds. Then we can share our kai with our whanau. That is ka pai!

We have put our food where we think it belongs on the food pyramid.
